Our mail systems run in parallel to distribute the load, so long as at least one of the three mail relays shown is operational, mail will continue to be processed and delivered. Please look at the sub-menus off this page to see graphs of our mail delivery systems over time.

For customers with hosted mail systems we also offer daily summary reports detailing the amount of email they’ve sent and received together with ranking lists of most prolific senders and receivers of email on your netwotk.

Filtering

We scan all email passing through our systems for both SPAM and VIRUSES. In addition we also block known sources of SPAM and any servers currently listed on Real-Time Black Hole listings. Typically email from RBL listed servers is rejected out-of-hand, and a very small number of emails containing the very worst case VIRUSES are dumped, but all other email is delivered to it’s target address. Any email thought to contain either SPAM or a VIRUS is marked by changing the subject line of the email, and also by adding indicative headers to the email header. This facilitates automatic mail filtering within your mail client.
